Staff

All the Education Services staff have recent teaching experience and have Qualified Teacher Status. They form a valuable resource for the Trust and are available to develop educational programmes and material, lead school groups during onsite visits to the Nenthead Mines Heritage Centre, and to work off site in schools on Outreach programmes.

Paul Mercer - Education Officer:

Education Services, is run by Education Officer Paul Mercer who leads a team dedicated to devising and delivering programmes of high quality educational experience based around the Trust's sites, archives, resources, publications, projects, exhibitions and other facilities. Paul is a teacher with experience of working through KS 1,2 and 3 - Paul has 20 years of experience in setting up heritage education projects throughout Europe.

Joyce Cox - Education Co-ordinator:

Joyce is a teacher with 28 years experience mainly in KS1 + 2 children

Hannah Stansfield - Education Co-ordinator:

Hannah has 3 years of experience delivering hands on educational programmes to 8-18 year olds.
