Projects

Project Northumbria
This lottery funded project is based in Newcastle and works towards developing the skills of youths under 16 who are no longer in full time education. From April 2006 to February 2007, Project Northumbria will work with the NPHT staff to develop and build a nature trail at the Nenthead Mines Heritage Centre. This is a small part of a much larger project that hopes to have reached approximately 30 youths by its conclusion. The trail aims to develop the youths’ ability to work as a team member and to gain building and IT skills while enhancing the environment for the people of Nenthead and visitors to the centre.
